From the recording You and Me Honey
You and Me Honey is Backsprint's take on Irish folk — a departure from the band's country rock sound. Written by Uroš Jojić while waiting for takeoff, for his wife.
The track features Neda Nikolić on fiddle. Neda is a Serbian musician whose PhD at the Irish World Academy of Music and Dance researches the musical bridge between Serbia and Ireland. She has recorded with Martin Hayes and The Common Ground Ensemble.
Recorded with multiple takes, no overdubs, no pitch correction, no click track.

Lyrics
After all the signs for buried land mines
After screams and fighting and muscles split
It’s live and let live, and hope never dies
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
After all the near misses and chasms wide
After life’s bloody jabs and hearts wildly stabbed
After all the sins and solemn goodbyes
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
After all the ships have crashed into rocks
and to stormy seas our voices lost
After paint starts to peel from the faces we dye
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I.
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
After billion lost feelings all gone to shit
After I go crazy for your little black dress
After we swear off the booze and it all goes awry
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
It’s you and me, honey, it’s you and I
